Love this coffeemaker so much we bought one for a family member! The best feature is that coffee is ready in the morning when we wake up. Great classic design too - it looks good and doesn't take up a lot of counter space. Bought the first one about 2 years ago and the gift this summer. Would make a wonderful housewarming or wedding gift.

After 3 weeks of use, we are very happy. First of all, the coffee is delicious. Second, when pouring water or coffee, there are no side spills or dripping. I love the style. The controls are easy to manage. The only thing that bugs me are the beeps. Five, when coffee is done. Two, when it shuts off. (My Cuisinart toater oven beeps too.)

We've had this coffee maker for almost 6 years without a single problem. A half-full carafe doesn't like a sudden stop on granite, but glass and granite generally don't mix. We were able to get a replacement carafe in 2 days. The automatic functions work well, and it's very nice to have a warming plate temp selection, as we both like our coffee at different temps.
The charcoal filters can be a bit difficult to find - stock up when you stumble across them!

My husband and I just love this coffee maker. I purchased it after reading the reviews of several coffee makers online. Boy, is everyone right! This pot does not spill or splatter when pouring, its quiet, the coffee stays hot. Love the 1-4 cup feature. My only negative comment would be that I wish you could select to turn the done-brewing signal off. The beeps it makes are not that loud, but its just a feature I don't find all that useful.
Overall, the best coffee pot I've ever owned for features/$. I'd buy another one the minute this one stops working.

I have owned this coffee maker for about 6 months and it makes good coffee. However my carafe had a major safety issue.
When the carafe is full, the weight of the coffee causes the top of the handle to come unattached from the carafe. This
has happened since I bought it but It wasn't such a big deal UNTIL YESTERDAY. The handle came apart and the carafe hit the kitchen counter and shattered. Coffee and glass was every where.
I did a search to see if this had happened to anyone else and found this has been a known problem since 2007!!
I contacted Cuisinart customer service at 1-800-726-0190 and was answered immediately. Shannon, the customer service rep was very helpful and she is sending me a replacement carafe at no charge.
I'm not sure if the carafe issue is just a bad batch that were manufactured or it is still an issue.
I will follow up after the new carafe arrives.
