Good and not so good. We bought two, one for regular and one for decaf. The "good" is that it's priced well (on Amazon, it's half of the retail store price!), it's sleek and the carafe has that fabulous Cuisinart quality of keeping coffee hot (not just warm but hot) for hours. However, there's some "not so good." You MUST read the directions before using this product. This coffee pot is not "plug and go" intuitive, given the many settings and buttons. For example, you have to push certain brew buttons in a certain order, which is a pain if guests want to make a pot or half a pot while I'm not around to explain what to do. The top to the carafe is very tight once it's on, which is great because the coffee stays hot, but the tabs that you use to open and close the carafe are very small, so unless you're really dextrous, this would hard. My parents, who are older but not yet elderly, would have problems opening and closing the top. You really need strong fingers. More than once the entire pot brewed onto the outside of the carafe, all over the counter and floor, because the top was not fully closed. Also, the hinged lid on the top of the coffee pot goes back only so far, creating a right angle of 90 degrees. The carafe is so big and the hole where you pour the water so small (and oddly located in the back at the hinge of the lid), that it's really hard to fill the reservoir. There's virtually no way to get 100% of your water into the reservoir, so a few tablespoons of water remain in the pot before you brew. All in all, though, it's a good coffee maker, especially if you're dextrous.

This is our third carafe product over many years and we are very happy with the look, efficiency and performance of this unit. The only flaw is that the carafe scratches the base as it goes in and out... not much can be done about that. It makes excellent coffee and is the appropriate size for our application. We would highly recommend it.

We've had this for 3 days. After brewing, there is no way to get this device to heat the coffee again. Resort to a microwave.
The region for pouring the water is small and in a tucked away spot.
If the ball on the pot ever clogs and causes us a spill like it has caused others, this machine is going back.

The coffee maker was very attractive, but unless you like lukewarm coffee, this is not the coffee maker for you. I had it for two days. I thought the thermos would keep the coffee hot, but I suppose that is not possible if the brewer does not make hot enough coffee. I returned it and am going to try the percolator.

Ok, I love the fact that it is thermal. I was so tired of that burnt coffee smell and taste if the coffee sat for even just half an hour at the lowest heat setting on my last coffee maker. It was the same brand, but still kept the coffee way too hot!
However there are some things I already do not like about this one also.
1.the numbers on the water meter are white on white. God that is hard to see!! What happend to writing being useful and readable? So I have put a blue line in marker at the 6 cup point. But it doesn't look very nice.
2.Also the lid to the top of the reservoir doesn't lean back at all so it's very hard to pour the water into the hole. The carafe hits the lid, so you have to hold it in an awkward way to get the water in the hole.
3.the lid of the carafe seems to be a very unsanitary design. Other than putting it in the dishwasher, and hoping somehow the dishwasher can get the thing clean, I don't see any way to get inside it to really wash it down.
Other than that though, I like it very much.
